Our objective at The Very Good Butchers is to produce organic, wholesome, real food without tricks or gimmicks. We want to make healthy planet friendly meat alternatives that are accessible to omnivores, vegetarians and vegans. We simply want to provide wholesome food for everyone to enjoy.
We ran a successful Kickstarter to help fund expansion. We are using Backer Kit to help us fulfill and manage all the Kickstarter orders.

Hi Everyone, There's just under 15 hours to go in the Kickstarter. That sure went by quickly :O
We've been hard at work preparing our new production space/storefront. We'll be using it to make a bunch of the new deli meats while our space on Denman Island focuses on making more burgers and bangers. We're hoping to open the space on the 23rd of this month.
A huge thank you to everyone who made it out to Free Burger Friday to sample some of our new menu items and celebrate the success of the Kickstarter campaign. During the mayhem we managed to shoot a quick video.
We'll touch base tomorrow afternoon once the Kickstarter wraps up!

Hi Everyone, Wow, we just hit our Kickstarter goal!!!
A huge huge thank you to everyone who has supported the campaign so far (all 560 of you!!) We can't wait to start scaling up our production and getting your rewards out to you as quickly as possible!
We're planning on doing a live stream in the next few days as well for our further away backers!
There are still 6 days left in the campaign and we'd love to try and hit the 75k stretch goal and be able to build a food truck/cart. If you have any friends or family who might be interested in the campaign please share it with them :)
We are also still running the Very Good Giveaway and have added some new ways to enter.

Hi Everyone, A huge thanks to everyone who has supported our campaign so far!We're getting pretty close to our goal but still have a ways to go.
Today we'd like to share a few videos with you!
First up, James and Tania giving you a quick overview of some of the equipment that the Kickstarter money will go towards purchasing. This will help us scale up production and get more Very Good product your way!

And last but not least, our friends at Kalyan Studios (a local vegan production house) put together a great sizzler reel for our Kickstarter campaign. They also helped us finish the main Kickstarter video.

Hi Everyone, Wow. We're already halfway to our main goal! In just over a week we've raised $25,000 which is pretty incredible. A huge thank you to everyone who has backed our campaign so far!!! James is a little bit under the weather but had a few words to share:

Wowzers!!! We are incredibly humbled and grateful for the response we've received so far! Messages (and pledges) of support have been flowing in and we've really been blown away.
A huge huge thank you to everyone who's backed this project so far! You rock!! In a few short days (and over a long weekend no less) we've already reached 10% of our funding goal! That's incredible!
